I made sure I had it in neutral but it will not go in. Chris said that if you cannot turn the shaft while putting it back on then it is not aligned right. I get it about 2 inches from all the way in and then it stops and I cannot turn the shaft anymore.

This thing is heavy. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? Should I have not moved the drive shaft?

Getting quite frustrated.

Pretend I arrive by boat around noon on Sunday and am leaving Tues-Weds, so I have at least 1-2 days to fish. Trolling and bottom fishing are great, trolling preferred but I’ll likely be alone so can’t put out the big spread. I have the right gear to do both, but no deep drop below 300′. All catch and release.

What should I expect weather-wise…and what’s fun to target? Marathon isn’t locked in by any means. Islamorada to Key West is fine.
